| Fire protection collar of the type “UNIFOX” The fire protection collar "UNIFOX" consists of a sheet steel casing, panelled with the foaming construction material "fox-o-flex". The expanding material expands by a factor of over 18 of its original volume when exposed to temperatures in excess of approx. 180 °C, thus compressing the softening pipe. The collar can be opened and closed easily using the toggle type fastener. Fire protection collar of the type “UNIFOX plus” The fire protection collar "UNIFOX plus" is specifically designed and certified for sound-insulated pipe systems. This interior diameter of this enhanced version of the "UNIFOX" is approx. 8 to 10 mm larger than the pipe it seals. A special feature is that is permits the installation of a foam strip as insulation around the pipe conduit. The ring gap between the pipe and the collar is insulated. This ensures that there is effective decoupling of the body noise. Sound insulation is of particular importance in addition to fire protection in the installation of wastewater pipes in residential buildings, hotels and hospitals, etc. |
