| F 90 joint sealing compound for fireproof joints |
| Intumescent, elastoplastic, aqueous fireproof joint compound based on an aqueous, silicone-free rubber polymer |
F90-AB joint seals according to the general building inspectorate test certificate P3402/3436-MPA BS in ceilings and bearing or non-bearing room sealing walls of reinforced concrete or masonry up to a joint width of 30 mm max. The joints can be formed both with rock wool and with polystyrol hard foam combined with the BC fireproof compound. Joint sealing with BC fireproof compound on one side is possible according to installation variant 1.
Elastoplastic fireproof joint compound on the basis of an aqueous, silicone-free rubber polymer with the addition of inorganic fillers and swelling substances. The BC fireproof compound provides an expandable, vibration resistance, stress-free and age resistant seal for expansion joints up to 30 mm wide. The temperature resistance in the reacted condition is between - 30°C and + 150°C.
Excellent adhesion to metal, steel sheets and concrete, plaster, masonry, ceramic, plasterboard, wood, PVC – even without primer. In the case of highly absorbent surfaces we recommend priming with BC fireproof compound, diluted with water in a ratio of 1:5, to be applied wet on wet.

Variant 1 F 90 fireproof joint
The joints filled with rock wool are sealed on one side with BC fireproof compound in F 90 room sealing solid structural elements.

Variant 2 With sealing on both sides, to a depth of 30 mm minimum, with BC fireproof compound, styropore, for example, can remain inside the joint.

Variant 3 Mineral fibre filled joints can also be sealed on the outside with BC fireproof compound > 10 mm. This prevents them from falling out and it provides a clean seal.

The shuttering material styropore (polystyrol) etc. must not be removed from the centre of the joint, even in the case of a fireproof joint.
